The Cone Nebula  is a dark nebula found in the constellation Monocerous.  It is formed by a dark cloud of gas and dust
which blocks the bright nebula which it silhouettes.  The open cluster NGC 2264 (Christmas Tree Nebula) is a young star cluster formed from the surrounding diffuse nebula.
