Clouds were an issue throughout the transit and the above image was taken through a moderate

cloud cover.  Mercury is seen as a black dot on the bottum edge of the sun's rim, below a much

larger sunspot.  The size relationship between the Sun and Mercury is dramatically revealed in this

image.
