IC 5067 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus and is associated with the North American Nebula. Dubbed the Pelican
Nebula because of its distinctive shape, it lies at a distance of 1,800 LY from Earth. It shines due to the ionization of Hydrogen
gas, a process fueled by the young energetic stars to which it gave birth.
